Breeding Ocelots in Minecraft:
How to turn a wild ocelot into a domestic cat and get offspring.
Breeding Ocelots in Minecraft are neutral and very shy mobs that are not easy to tame. If you manage to earn the trust of a wild animal, it will change its appearance and turn from a harsh lord of the jungle into a domestic cat.
Where to Find Ocelots
The jungle is the only biome with ocelots. Sometimes kittens spawn together with adults. In the event of the death of ocelots, they do not drop any drops, except for experience points.
How to Tame an Breeding Ocelots in Minecraft
To tame an ocelot, you need raw fish (cod or salmon) and a wagon of patience. Wild cats in Minecraft are moody and shy. If you approach them too quickly, they will instantly jerk in the opposite direction from you, leaving only footprints on the ground. Seeing an ocelot ahead of you, pick up a cod and slowly approach the animal, reducing the distance to about ten blocks.
To move slowly, hold down the Shift key
Stop five to six blocks from the beast. The ocelot will smell the food and slowly sneak up to you. Once the wildcat is within arm’s reach, give her the fish by pressing RMB. Usually, to tame an ocelot, you have to feed it from one to six servings of cod or salmon.
When you tame the beast, its game skin will change, and it will look like a regular house cat.
In Minecraft, cats are black, red, and gray (Siamese)
From now on, the animal will follow you on your heels, unless you give it the command to “sit” (RMB).
Breeding Cats
Cats are pets, so they don’t have to be locked up in a pen: they won’t run away from you anyway. To get fluffy households to breed, feed a couple of animals with raw fish. Hearts will appear above them, and a kitten will soon be born. Adult cats can mate again in five minutes, and a kitten will grow up in 15-20 minutes. If you feed him with fish, he will mature faster. The color of the offspring always matches that of one of the parents.
Features of Cats in Minecraft
- House cats love to climb on beds, chests, and stoves. While animals are sitting on objects, the player cannot use them. This feline feature is sometimes used in multiplayer, thus protecting property from burglars.
- Creepers are afraid of cats. If a green monster sees you accompanied by a tailed companion, he will immediately run away. Take a squad of cats with you when you go out for a night walk or go on an underground expedition – this will protect you from explosive mobs
- Wild ocelots attack chickens and can kill them even through a fence. If your chicken farm is located in the jungle, take care of reliable bird protection. A good solution would be a double fence or a completely closed chicken coop.
- If the player runs too far from their cats, the animals will teleport to him. In the event of the death of your character, the cat automatically moves to the bed, where the main character is reborn.
